Within the DARK MONDAY series, we have regularly presented local English language playwrights, poets, novelists and songwriters. This month we feature the widely published and highly regarded American Poet Stephen Thomas; who is an especially accomplished performer of his own poems and those of other poets. He has appeared with such American masters as Ken Kesey, James Dickey and Denis Johnson. Gregory L. May, who at the age of twelve was discovered by Motown Records and transplanted to LA. For Motown he wrote songs for such artists as the Temptations and the Four Tops. His powerful voice and virtuosity led to his recording such hits as “A 1000 Reasons Why”. As a member of the LA Jazz Choir he has twice been nominated for Grammy Awards.
